The Frankfort City Council is now back at square one with its animal control ordinance following its meeting on Monday night in Old Stoney.
“I believe it’s a good thing,” said Mayor Chris McBarnes. “Great public discourse took place tonight. We had several constituents who came to the meeting to speak for the ordinance and against the ordinance. I think what that did is it gave our city council views from both sides of the table. We have decided to take this back to study committee.”
That study committee will consist of Eric Woods, Clarence Warthen and Lewis Wheeler. They will be working hand-in-hand with the Humane Society on revisions of the ordinance.
