The schedule for the upcoming Memorial Day Program at Veterans Park in downtown Frankfort has been released. The program is Monday, May 29 at 10 a.m. The schedule is as follows:

America 1 Verse — Josh Wilson, Frankfort Bible Holiness Church;

Pledge of Allegiance — Girl Scout Troop 810;

Reading — Millard See, Sons of the Legion Post 12;

Flanders Field — Carol Geske, American Legion Post 12 Ladies Auxiliary;

Gen. Logan’s GO — Bruce Aughe, Senior Vice Commander American Legion Post 12;

Memorial Address — Joe Oyler, Life member DAV and VFW;

Star Spangled Banner — Josh Wilson, Frankfort Bible Holiness Church;

Wreath Ceremony — Mayor Chris McBarnes, DAR/CAR & Auxiliaries;

Benediction — Pastor David Fry, Frankfort Bible Holiness Church;

Firing Squad — Marine Corps League #967;

Taps — Larry McBee, Past Commander, American Legion Post 12.

Honoring Sailors and Marines Buried at Sea (at Washington Street Bridge)

Reading — Rose Metcalf, VFW Post 1110 Auxiliary;

Flowers Cast on Water — All Auxiliaries and the public;

Firing Squad — Marine Corps League #976;

Sandwiches and salads at VFW Post 1110 after services. Programs will be provided by Goodwin Funeral Home and Archer Weston Cremation Services.
