Clinton County will have three individuals representing its in the state track meet coming up this weekend at Indiana University in Bloomington.
Frankfort High School junior Colton Crum captured his second regional title in the pole vault after he cleared 16 feet, 6 inches, to defeat reigning state champion Ryan Lipe of Carmel and his brother Mitch Lipe, who finished third at the regional meet at Lafayette Jefferson Thursday. Crum, who cleared 17-1 a week earlier, will be competing in his third state meet.
Also qualifying for state was Clinton Prairie senior Owen Lloyd, who took second in the 110-meter high hurdles in a time of 14.93 seconds.
In addition, FHS sophomore Nallely Alanis is heading to state in the 300-metere hurdles after getting called up to compete at state.
There were other athletes from Clinton County competing in the regional. Frankfort junior Noah Dubree tied for 10th in the pole vault, while Clinton Central senior Brantley Mosbaugh took 11th. Both cleared 12 feet.
Clinton Central senior Keenan Orr wound up in a seven-way tie for fifth in the high jump after clearing 5-10 and Central senior Axle Brandenburg finished tied for 11th in the shot put with a toss of 45-2.5.
