Beverly J. Douglass, 85, of Frankfort, formerly of Michigantown, passed away, Thursday, February 14, 2019, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. She was born July 31, 1933 in Boone County. Her parents Alpha “Peanut” and Lola M. (Bruce) Cory preceded her in death. On June 14, 1952, she married Charles “Wayne” Douglass; he preceded her in death on September 20, 1986.
Beverly had attended Lebanon Schools. She had worked for Mallory Controls in Frankfort and was a homemaker. Beverly enjoyed working outdoors in her flower beds, cleaning house, and spending time with her great granddaughter. Beverly was also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies of Charity.
Surviving Beverly are her grandson, Scott Allen Douglass, of Boyleston; granddaughter, Amy Marie Douglass, of Boyleston; daughter-in-law, Lois Douglass, of Boyleston; and a great granddaughter, Jezzaree Douglass.
In addition to her parents and husband, Beverly is preceded in death by her sons, Marvin “Doyle” and Richard Allen “Rick” Douglass.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 18, 2019 at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 12 Noon. Fr. Chris Miller will officiate.
