Clinton County Under Wind Advisory Until Wednesday Morning

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Advisory for Clinton County, which is in effect from 4 p.m. this afternoon to 4 a.m. Wednesday. Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to around 45 mph are expected.

The winds plus the saturated ground could result in a few trees falling over. Power outages are possible. Loose objects will be blown around. Driving will become difficult for high profile vehicles, especially on north south roads.

Besides Clinton, other affected areas include Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Clay, Daviess, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren counties.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or wind gusts of 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
