Safe Routes to Schools Sidewalk Improvements Continue

Once crews finish the sidewalk work on Clay Street up to Harvard Terrace, they will move to the west side of Myrtle Avenue by the first of next week, with work planned on Myrtle from Jefferson Street to Kyger Street.
According to Street Superintendent Jason Forsythe, there will be no parking allowed on the west side of Myrtle once crews begin their work in that area.
“We are asking drivers to plan to park on the east side of Myrtle next week, adhering to the no parking signs our team will be putting out near the end of this week. I’ve spoken with representatives of Back Street Café and shared plans for the sidewalk improvements near their business next week as well,” Forsythe said.
Stay tuned to the City’s Web site (frankfort-in.gov) and the City, Mayor and Street Department’s Facebook pages for any changes in plans for the sidewalk improvement work due to weather conditions or other factors.
