The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 6 p.m. Tuesday night for 35 counties in Indiana, including Clinton County.
Besides Clinton, other affected counties are Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Clay, Daviess, Decatur, Delaware, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan and Tipton.
Storms can have 60 mph wind gusts. Large hail and damaging winds are possible along with continuous cloud to ground lightning. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with some of the storms.
