The Frankfort Redevelopment Commission approved a bid from Crews Roofing for $7,650 to cap the wall at 52 and 54 W. Washington St. in downtown Frankfort on Wednesday.
“As soon as the city attorney gets a contract written up, we’ll notify the contractor and get them started,” said RDC Chairman Joe Palmer. “Hopefully, it won’t take very long (to complete the project). We still want to get it done before the really severe weather gets here.”
Palmer was also asked if any decision had been made on what might on the site near Veterans Park.
“No, not at this time,” said Palmer. “We just want to make sure everything gets done correctly.”
The RDC also approved a bid not to exceed $1,000 from KJG Architecture for inspections to make sure the project is being done correctly.
