At 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Frankfort Fire Department responded to reports of a fire at the exit of ConAgra Foods on West County Road 0. Upon arrival Captain Tony Snyder found a fully engulfed semi-tractor with the engine compartment and cab fully involved.
Engine 2 and 3 responded and quickly knocked the fire down. Captain Snyder stated that the fire started in the engine compartment and quickly spread into the cab. The driver attempted to extinguish the fire before firefighters arrived but was unsuccessful. No injuries were reported.
