Rossville placed four runners in the Top 20 Saturday at the New Prairie Invitational Class A cross country meet.
The Hornets were led by a fourth-place overall finish from junior Preston Padgett. Sophomores Nick Shedron and Gabe Freeman were 10th and 19th respectively followed by freshman Charlie Thompson in 20th.
The Rossville girls took seventh in their event. Senior Megan Wilson was the top finisher for Rossville as she placed 16th.

Frankfort High School junior Carina Alanis placed eighth in the girls’ Class AAA race in a time of 19:59.9 at the New Prairie Invitational.
In the boys’ race, sophomores Daniel Pritchett and Angel Perez both placed in the Top 30 at New Prairie.

FHS Girls’ Soccer
Mia Hernandez scored a pair of goals to help lead Frankfort to a 4-1 Sagamore Conference victory over North Montgomery Thursday night.
Liz Cruz Sandoval added a goal for the Lady Hot Dogs, 7-4 overall and 3-0 in the conference. Jessie Ramos scored her first career goal and Stephanie Aguilar added an assist for FHS.
The JV played just a half and ended in a 0-0 tie.
On Tuesday, Frankfort fell to Faith Christian 3-1. The lone goal for FHS was by Jazmine Longoria.
The JV fell 1-0 to Faith Christian.
