The Indiana Department of Transportation will be in a full call out of trucks from late Sunday through Tuesday for winter weather.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for much of our district from Sunday night through Tuesday morning. They are calling for 4 to 8 inches of snow in the next couple of days.
As we work to clean up the roads, there may be snow on the road as drivers complete their routes. Each snow route typically takes 1-2 hours to complete, meaning there will be time for snow to accumulate. Please slow down as you drive and give our plows room to work on the roads.
The East Central District will be in a full call by midnight. We will be working in 12 hour shifts until the snow is cleared, most likely some time Tuesday afternoon.
Indianapolis area will have around 50 trucks on the road in full call mode, Tipton will have 25, Greenfield will have 30, Cambridge City and Albany will also have 25 trucks.
