Stop By The Library During Hot Dog Festival Later This Month

Please join us for the First Annual Open-Air Artists Market at the Frankfort Community Public Library on Saturday, July 31. The Friends of the Frankfort Library will be hosting a group of Indiana artists with a variety of art pieces for your shopping pleasure. This will take place outside on the library’s front yard and drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.as part of the Hot Dog Festival.  In case of rain, the artists will be moved to Room 219 and the Art Room on the second floor. Artists participating are Marco Bautista (fiber), Susie Blackmore (mixed media), Debbie Cunningham (wood burning), Grace Gouveia (fiber & photography), Chloe Harshman (stained glass), Thomas Hill (pottery), Vicki Moyer (jewelry), Amaris Orozco (mixed media), and Jennifer Wells (photography). We look forward to seeing you at the library!

There will be lots of activities going on inside and outside of the library on July 31. While you and your families are enjoying the Hot Dog Festivities, be sure to stop by! In addition to the Open-Air Artists Market, you can visit the Friends Annual Book Sale in the library’s Circulation Area. We are for the Book Sale’s return after taking a year off. Expect lots of items including fiction and nonfiction books, children’s books, artwork, and even vinyl records to choose from; all of which are available with a free-will donation.

While you are in the library, don’t miss July’s exhibiting artist in the Hubbard Gallery, silk screen David O’Dell. This fun exhibit is full of striking colors and detailed design. If you are a racing fan, love the Beatles, or just enjoy pops of color, this exhibit is for you. It is free and open to the public.

The Teen Department has partnered with Center Township this year for our Annual Harry Potter Party!  This year’s party takes place outside in the back parking area on the north side of the building from 1-3 p.m. on Sat., July 31. Drop by for crafts, games, and many fun surprises! This event is open to witches, wizards, and muggles of all ages.

Look for the signs to direct you to all the fun!
