The Indiana Department of Transportation announces U.S. 421 is closing in both directions between County Road 200 N. and C.R. 300 N. on or after Wednesday, July 6 for a bridge deck replacement over South Fork Wildcat Creek. This is near Frankfort to the South and Dayton/Mulberry to the East. It’s expected to reopen in November of 2022.
The official detour follows U.S. 421 N. to S.R. 75 N. to S.R. 26 and back to U.S. 421 N.
This project was awarded to Beaty Construction, Inc. for $1.5 million. The entire project is expected to be completed by June of 2023.
