Tax season is upon Clinton County, and the Frankfort Tax-Aide Prep for 2024 to help Clinton County community members with filing taxes is underway at the Neighborhood Center.
The steps taken for the Frankfort Tax-Aide Prep are provided by AARP Volunteers as a means of helping community members succeed when filing their taxes.
For those in need of assistance with taxes this year, Tax Prep Packets are available at the Frankfort Neighborhood Center at 259 S. 3rd St. in Frankfort. Appointments will be available on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and may be scheduled by calling the Neighborhood Center at 765-239-9609.
The organizers stated that intake forms must be completed in advance, and most tax payers will likely take three visits to the tax site to complete the necessary paperwork. Appointments should be scheduled after receiving the packet from the Neighborhood Center. No appointment is needed to pick up the packet from the Neighborhood Center.
