Ava Burkle scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds and teammate Allie Elliott scored 13 points and had a game-high 14 rebounds to lead Rossville to a 51-30 victory over North Vermillion in the opening round of the Attica Sectional Tuesday night.
Rossville will now play in the second semifinal game Friday night against Attica. It will follow the first game between Clinton Central and Fountain Central, which defeated Faith Christian 49-46 Tuesday night,
Leading 7-6 after one quarter, Rossville broke the game open by outscoring North Vermillion 18-2 in the second quarter to take a 25-8 halftime lead.
Addi Gobett and Chloe Darnel each added eight points for the Lady Hornets. Gobett also grabbed 11 caroms.
Frankfort Season Ends
Frankfort fell in the first game of the Twin Lakes Sectional to West Lafayette 69-18 on Tuesday night,
Ella McAtee and Vannessa Guardado scored six points each to lead the Lady Hot Dogs, 2-22. Guardado also led the team in rebounds with nine.
