At approximately 10:11p.m. Saturday, Kokomo Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of North Lafountain Street for reports of shots fired. While checking the area, officers were dispatched to Community Howard Regional Health for a report of a person who was dropped off at the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was identified as a 17-year-old male. The victim was treated at Community Howard and later flown via helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital.
At the time of this report, the victim is in stable condition.
Also that evening, a suspect vehicle involved in this investigation was stopped by police in the the western part of Howard County.
No arrests have been made.
