The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Delphi Police Department bound together to host activities with the children of The Learning Tree this week to teach them about law enforcement and introduce them to an active K9.

Delphi Police Chief Nate LaMar was joined by Deputy Spencer Kingery to teach children more about law enforcement, their duties and the services provided through the agencies during their heroes week.

“Always love stopping by and speaking to the kids,” the Sgt. Kingery wrote. “The kids sure do love our K9s.”

Kingery continued to elaborate on the impact of the two agencies coming together to interact with the children of Carroll County and teach them more about law enforcement and the K9 units, highlighting the benefits of “agencies working together to educate our kiddos and building bonds that will last a lifetime for some of them.”

The Learning Tree has introduced the children of the organization to members of the Carroll County Highway Department alongside the numerous vehicles utilized in their projects as well as members from Carroll County EMS, who showcased an ambulance for the children to experience.
