The Clinton County Special Olympics athletes fought hard during the 2024 Summer Games held from June 7 through June 9 at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, raking in multiple top medals.

The Clinton County athletes faced off against athletes from across the state in bowling, track and field and volleyball as they vied for coveted awards before enjoying activities such as comedy shows and dance parties to relax after their outstanding performances.

The Summer Games are the Indiana Special Olympics’ largest annual competition that sees more than 2,100 athletes and Unified partners from across the state gather on the Indiana State and Rose-Hulman campuses for the three days of competition filled with achievement, friendship, fun, ceremony and celebration.

This year kicked off the 55th Annual Summer Games with the theme of “A Journey to Your Heart,” inspired by the Athlete Leadership Conference held at the State Conference in October 2023.
