The Frankfort Hot Dog Band and Orchestra is gearing up for the competitive Muncie Central School Competition slated for tomorrow, July 20 this year.
The Hot Dog Band and Orchestra stated that Muncie Central high School is currently experiencing construction, and parking will likely remain as a concern for spectators, but options for parking will be available surrounding the campus.
Members attending the competition must wear black shorts, black socks, black dinkle vanguard or drillmaster marching shoes and a band t-shirt. Members are instructed to eat lunch before arriving at the school for rehearsal, and students are encouraged to bring money for concessions.
Muncie Competition Schedule:
- 1 p.m.: Arrive at Frankfort High School and rehearse
- 3:30 p.m.: Load bus and trailer
- 3:45 p.m.: Leave Frankfort
- 5:45 p.m.: Arrive at Muncie and eat dinner
- 6:30 p.m.: Stretch
- 6:40 p.m.: Basics
- 7 p.m.: Music warmup
- 7:30 p.m.: Walk in stadium
- 8 p.m.: Track entry
- 8:18 p.m.: Performance
- 8:30 p.m.: Return to bus and change out of uniforms and return to field for awards
- 10:55 p.m.: Awards
- 1 a.m.: Arrive at Frankfort High School
The performances commence at 6:30 p.m. for competing schools. Spectator tickets are $6 and may be purchased at the southeast corner of the Muncie Central football stadium on the day of the event.
