The Boone County Solid Waste Management District announced that the Whitestown Parks and Recreation Department has begun to install new amenities in the local parks through a grant awarded by the District.
The District highlighted the Whitestown Parks team for installing 12 new benches and five trash containers over the past two years that were funded through the District’s Municipality Grant Program.
The District stated that all of the items being implemented within the parks through the program are constructed from recycled materials, which the District stated helps to effectively close the loop and support a circular economy.
“The District is happy to support all of our Boone County community and provide amenities that will last for many years to come,” the District released.
