On Tuesday, October 1, Boone EDC will host its largest community service event to date—the 5th annual Best Day In Boone, in partnership with Boone EDC.

This year’s event is set to make a significant impact across the county, with a record number of businesses and organizations joining forces. Over 260 volunteers from 22 companies will support 20 nonprofit locations, generating more than $60,000 worth of volunteer hours while completing vital projects that benefit the entire community.

Leading the charge is Festool, the event’s top sponsor and an internationally renowned company with deep ties to Boone County. Festool is making history with over 90 employees participating marking the largest volunteer group from a single company in the event’s history.

“Festool USA is proud to close our business for the second consecutive year to support the Best Day in Boone. This event allows us to give back to the community where many of our employees and their families live, and where Festool USA established its roots 18 years ago. It’s also an opportunity for us to live out our core values, build camaraderie across departments, and create lasting memories while working together to make a positive impact in this wonderful community,” said Michael Burch, Executive Vice President of Festool USA.

The overwhelming response from local businesses and organizations underscores the spirit of generosity and community engagement that Boone County is known for. “We’re thrilled to see such an incredible outpouring of support for this year’s Best Day In Boone,” said Molly Whitehead, CEO of Boone EDC. “The record number of companies, sponsors, and nonprofits participating this year demonstrates how committed Boone County is to creating meaningful change. This county-wide day of service not only strengthens the bonds between businesses, organizations, and residents but also leaves a lasting impact on our community.”

Nonprofits across the county are eager to welcome volunteers. “We’re excited to be part of the Best Day in Boone for the second year,” said Pam Verbarg, Executive Director of The Arc of Greater Boone County. “The volunteers’ efforts are invaluable to us, helping to complete critical projects that allow us to focus our resources elsewhere. Their contributions help maintain and beautify our facilities, making a lasting difference.”
