First Baptist Church Of Camden Seeks Donations For Disaster Relief In North Carolina

The First Baptist Church of Camden team is seeking donations for disaster relief for a church in Ashville, North Carolina following the destruction of Hurricane Helene.

John Ohman of the First Baptist Church of Camden stated that the team is seeking to fill two trailers with supplies for those affected by the disaster in North Carolina.

“I spoke with a pastor, and they are devastated,” Ohman wrote. “They are clearing out rooms to house our first responders search and rescue.”

Ohman stated that has has assembled one two-man team to pull one trailer, but her is seeking a truck and two-man team to pull the second trailer once the supplies are collected.

Supplies may be donated at First Baptist Church of Camden at 225 E. Main St. in Camden, and the team is expected to be in the parking lot accepting the donations from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Wednesday or Thursday next week to get the teams on the road to North Carolina.

“This is about families helping families, not denomination, so please give if you can,” Ohman wrote.

  • Full gas and diesel cans
  • Large drum liner trash bags
  • Batteries (AA/AAA)
  • Coffee and coffee filters
  • Reusable coffee mugs (for strike teams in the field)
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Disinfectant sprays
  • Room spray
  • Paper towels
