The Frankfort Parks Department announced that it will accept pumpkins following the Halloween season to aid in feeding the animals of the TPA Park Petting Zoo and Aviary.
The department stated that the staff will not accept decorated, carved, painted, bleached or contacted with chemicals or gourds. A designated spot by the White Barn at TPA Park has been selected for drop off of the pumpkins.
“With Halloween approaching, we know many places and residents look for places to throw away their pumpkins, choose us,” the department released. “We would love your gently used pumpkins.”
