CORE Community Center has announced its recent partnership and acquisition of Cameron’s Community Closet, which stands as a local community closet dedicated to providing essential items to those in need within the community.
The Closet was originally founded by Ryan and Kim Prather in the Rossville area to support foster families in the area, but as the need for foster support slowed, the focus shifted to a community-wide approach to provide clothing, household items and other necessities to anyone in the community who may be experiencing a difficult time. The Closet will now be housed at CORE Community Center to offer greater accessibility and visibility to the community.
CORE stated that it will announce specific donation needs on its social media pages, and community members are always encouraged to donate gently-used clothing, household items and other essential goods to support the initiative.
