The Humane Society of Clinton County released its January 2025 stats for the community to see how the organization has aided the animals of the county.
The organization stated that 48 animals were taken in during the month with 34 cats, made up of 23 strays, two claimed, 10 surrendered and one seized, and 25 dogs, made up of 4 surrenders, 19 strays, 11 claimed, and one bit quarantine.
The organization stated that it received 35 calls for Animal Control for the month, which was composed of six aggressive animal at large, two neglect, 14 animals at large, three sick or injured, six welfare check and three other cases.
For outcomes, the organization saw 37 adoptions, 30 cats and 7 dogs, and 44 left for foster to adopt on top of adoptions, including 35 cats and 9 dogs. The organization stated that unfortunately one cat passed away, and one dog was hit by a car.
