James Melvin Walden

James Melvin Walden, 85, of Frankfort, passed away March 13, 2025 at his home.  He was born July 28, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Russell & Alegra (Moren) Walden.  He married Sy (Young) Walden-James on December 24, 1984 and she survives.

Melvin was a 1954 graduate of Broad Ripple High School and received his Bachelor’s degree in communications from Indiana University. He worked in the entertainment industry and was a columnist.  He proudly serviced his country in the U.S. Navy.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Sy of Frankfort, son, Scott (Karen) Walden, sisters, Judyella Plummer of Bloomington, Jayne Collins of Jasonville, brother, Jay Mark (Julie) Walden of South Carolina and 5 grandchildren.
