Initial Report at 12:15 a.m.:
Citizens of Frankfort have reported a widespread power outage affecting customers on every side of the city.
As of 12:10 a.m. today, April 24, the cause of the power outage has not been released. Frankfort Police Department officers are surveying the city for the outage extent.
Reports have also been received that business alarms and fire alarms have been sounding at some locations and are being checked by crews.
Officers are also directing traffic at busy intersections throughout the city in the meantime.
Officers have also issued a reminder that during a power outage, affected stop light intersections should be treated as a four-way stop.
No further information has been released as of 12:15 a.m. today. No expected time of restoration has been released.
