Taylor High School quarterback Javionne Harris threw for three touchdowns and ran for four more to lead the Titans over Clinton Central 47-8 Friday night.
The senior was named The Farmers Bank Player of the Game.
Harris, who has been lighting up opposing defenses this season, has now scored 26 total touchdowns through five games.
The Titans got the ball first and drove quickly down the field. Harris’ lone mistake of the day came on the opening drive when his pass to the endzone was picked off by Clinton Central’s Keaton Albaugh.
After a three-and-out, the Titans got on the board with a 15-yard touchdown pass from Harris to Drey McClatchey.
Central’s offense struggled to sustain drives throughout the first half, and after a punt, Harris rushed in from 14 yards out to make it 13-0.
Harris then intercepted a pass from Creed Mennen and later rushed for a 34-yard score.
The Titans added two more scores before the end of the half, both on passes to Keyshawn Galloway. One from 34 yards and one on a screen play that saw Galloway catch-and-run for a 40-yard touchdown.
Harris ran for two more scores in the second half, including one of over 50 yards that was named the Solidarity Community Federal Credit Union Play of the Game.
The Titans moved to 4-1 on the season and will take on Sheridan next week. Clinton Central falls to 2-3 and will be home against Eastern on Friday.
