The new affordable housing project announced in August 2025 is set to break ground on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, at 1:00 pm, at 405 Baldwin Ct., Frankfort.
The project is a partnership between Habitat for Humanity of Lafayette, Tempest
Homes, and First Merchants Bank. Eight new, single-family affordable homes will be built for Habitat partner families.

Officials from Tempest Homes, the City of Frankfort, Habitat for Humanity of Lafayette, the Clinton County Community Foundation, the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, and the Clinton County Housing Coalition will mark the exciting next step with a ceremonial groundbreaking. Construction on the homes will begin immediately with a Spring completion date. Habitat is planning to build additional homes with volunteer labor in the next 18 months. The last Habitat for Humanity home in Clinton County was completed in May 2023 on John Street.

Habitat for Humanity of Lafayette is a nonprofit Christian housing ministry dedicated to
building decent, affordable housing in partnership with those in need in Benton, Carroll,
Clinton, Fountain, Tippecanoe, White, and Warren Counties. Since 1984, Habitat for
