The Autism Society of Indiana invites individuals with autism, families, caregivers, and professionals to join a Family Support Waiver (FSW) Workshop on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 7:00 PM. This educational session is designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully navigate Indiana’s Family Support Waiver—an essential Medicaid program supporting individuals with autism across the state.
This comprehensive workshop will provide clear, accessible guidance on the services covered under the FSW, including respite care, behavioral support, therapies, and assistive technology. Participants will gain insights into how these services can enhance independence, improve quality of life, and support families in everyday caregiving.
Attendees will also be guided through the entire application process, including eligibility requirements, necessary documentation, and step-by-step instructions for submitting an application. The workshop will further explain what to expect after being targeted for the waiver, such as service plan development, choosing providers, and beginning to receive services.
Whether you are new to the waiver process or seeking clarity on next steps, this workshop offers valuable information to help families access crucial resources and support. The Autism Society of Indiana encourages parents, caregivers, self-advocates, and professionals to participate in this important session.
Registration closes on November 30 at 12:00 PM.
