Clinton County Special Olympics Announces Upcoming Thundercats Events

Clinton County Indiana Special Olympics has released its schedule of upcoming events, highlighting a busy and exciting season ahead for its Thundercats basketball teams and athletes.

The schedule kicks off on February 7 at 9:00 a.m. with the Take It to the Hoop Tournament at Taylor University, featuring competition from the Ferocious Thundercats (5v5) and Roaring Thundercats (3v3) teams. On February 8, all teams will compete in the Area 4 Tournament at Wabash College.

Action continues on February 12 when the Ferocious Thundercats (5v5) face Boone County in a game scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Memory Hall. The spotlight then turns to younger athletes on February 15 with the Youth Tournament, featuring the Mighty Thundercats.

In addition to athletic competition, Clinton County Special Olympics will participate in the Polar Plunge on February 28 at Purdue University, a popular fundraising event supporting Special Olympics programs.

Postseason play begins with the Chapel Hill Sectionals on March 7, where the Ferocious Thundercats and Roaring Thundercats will compete for a chance to advance. Teams that qualify will move on to the State Tournament on March 21 at the Pacers Athletic Center. The season will conclude with the Youth State Tournament on March 28 at the University of Indianapolis (UIndy).
