Local author Susan M. Ruch has announced the upcoming release of her first children’s chapter book, Pretty Kitty And The Magnificent World, set to be released on February 3. Writing and publishing a book has been a lifelong dream for Ruch, and she is excited to share the story with the community.
The book was inspired by the true story of Ruch’s daughter, Mackenna, and the adoption of her cat, Nori. Adding to the project’s creativity, Ruch collaborated with her artist friend, Brenda BE, who illustrated the story and helped bring its characters and world to life.
To celebrate the release, Ruch will host a book release party at the Frankfort Public Library on February 3. Family, friends, and community members are invited to attend, with additional event details to be announced soon.
