Rossville Wrestler Mimi Nicolas took second place in the 2026 Girls Wrestling State Tournament Final on Friday.
Nicolas, a sophomore, finishes off a strong second year with a 42-3 record.
In her first match of the day, Nicolas took down an opponent from Franklin Central by technical fall.
She pinned her second opponent from Crown Point and won by major decision in the semifinal against an opponent from Terre Haute North Vigo.
In the championship match of the 120-pound weight class, Nicolas wrestled against Whiteland Community’s Mikalya Perkins, who came into the day with just one loss.
Perkins won by decision 13-8.
