The Clinton County Commissioners voted unanimously, 3–0, to deny a rezoning request connected to a proposed data center project.
The request sought to rezone approximately 715 acres of land from agricultural to light industrial use. Following a review of the proposal and consideration of public input, the commissioners determined not to move forward with the rezoning.
With the denial, the application is officially closed. Under county regulations, a similar rezoning request for the same property cannot be resubmitted for a period of 12 months.
County officials thanked residents who participated in the public process and shared their perspectives during the review.
