Inari Agriculture, Inc. has announced plans to reduce its workforce at its West Lafayette, Indiana facility, citing changing business needs. The company issued a formal notice in compliance with the Federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act.
According to the notice, Inari Agriculture will conduct a mass layoff affecting 64 employees at the West Lafayette location. The layoff process is expected to begin on January 20, 2026, with separations continuing through February 6, 2026. The company indicated that the layoffs are expected to be permanent.
The WARN Act requires employers to provide advance notice of mass layoffs or plant closures in order to give workers and their families time to prepare and seek alternative employment or retraining opportunities. Inari Agriculture stated that employees will receive the required 60-day notification beginning January 20, 2026.
