Derek Hayden Crews, 43, of Lafayette, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026. He was born on April 29, 1982, in Lafayette to Robert “Bob” Crews and Robin (Howe) Finley.
Derek attended Benton Central High School and Frankfort Senior High School. He was a lover of music, collected comic books, enjoyed playing video games, and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.
Along with his parents, Derek is survived by a daughter, Hayden Crews; siblings Andrea (Ian) Crews-Cox, Araya (Morgan Hendricks) Jackson-Luse; stepfather, Kenneth Finley; step-siblings, Kenneth Uster-Finley and his son, and Kendra Uster-Finley and her children, Kyra and Charles, and nieces and nephews, Rayne and Rayna Chapin, Killian Hendricks- Luse, Tori Scott and Adrian Scott.
A Celebration of life pitch-in dinner will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 11am-2pm at the American Legion in Frankfort. Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is assisting the family with the arrangements. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
