The Indiana Department of Transportation announced a short-term road closure affecting State Road 28 in Frankfort.
Beginning on or after Monday, March 23, CSX Transportation crews will be closing S.R. 28 at the railroad crossing between McKinley Avenue and 6th Street. The purpose of the closure is to repair the crossing in the area. Construction is expected to last until early April, but it is weather-dependent and subject to change.
The official detour around the closure is U.S. 421 to S.R. 38 to I-65. INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution in and around work zones.
