Clinton County Civic Theatre Brings Comedy “Bull in a China Shop” to the Stage

The Clinton County Civic Theatre is inviting the community to enjoy an evening of laughter with its latest production, Bull in a China Shop, running for a limited time this week.

Shared by the Frankfort Community Public Library, the play offers a humorous and unconventional mystery centered around a group of seemingly sweet elderly women who discover that a handsome bachelor—Detective Dennis O’Finn of Homicide—has moved in across the street. Determined to capture his attention, the women devise an outrageous plan: staging a “proper” homicide, complete with tea as the murder weapon.

As the plot unfolds, a sharp young reporter begins to suspect the truth, placing herself in danger as the ladies attempt to keep their secret safe. Meanwhile, Detective O’Finn finds himself at the center of the chaos, ultimately uncovering the bizarre situation—only to be outmaneuvered by the very women he seeks to understand.

The production is written by C. B. Gildford and directed by Eric Adams. Known for its blend of wit, charm, and farcical twists, the play promises an entertaining experience for audiences of all ages.

Tickets are available online through the theatre’s official website, and attendees are encouraged to secure seats early as this week-only performance is expected to draw strong interest.
