Angry Donkey Announces New Community Event Space in Russiaville

The team behind Angry Donkey is celebrating both recent success and an exciting new venture following their participation in a local culinary event.

In a recent update, Angry Donkey shared highlights from “Cheftacular,” where they connected with fellow chefs while supporting a meaningful cause. Their team earned second place in the People’s Choice category out of 16 competitors. A standout part of their experience included working alongside a student participant, Lucas, recognized for his creativity and strong work ethic. Team member Sarah was also praised for going above and beyond in preparing their featured dishes.

Building on that momentum, Angry Donkey has announced a partnership with Todd and Carrie Melloh of Anna’s Acres to develop a new community-focused space in Russiaville.

The project, named Settler’s Yard, will transform property located behind Waddell’s Grocery into an outdoor venue designed for events, gatherings, and family celebrations. Organizers say the site carries historical importance, as it sits on what is believed to be the original settlement area of Russiaville.

The goal of Settler’s Yard is to blend that historical significance with a modern purpose—creating a welcoming environment where community members can come together and create lasting memories.

While renovations are still underway, the team has shared early preview images and plans to provide updates as the project progresses toward its opening.
