Two Days Left to File for Clinton County Sheriff Vacancy

With just two days remaining to file, interested candidates are being reminded that paperwork is due soon for the upcoming caucus to fill the Clinton County Sheriff vacancy.

The caucus is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. and will be held at the Frankfort Police Department, located at 1740 W. State Road 28 in Frankfort.

Party officials have announced that all candidates must submit a completed CEB-5 form along with a letter of intent no later than May 20. All materials should be directed to Party Chair Jordan Brewer.

The caucus will determine who will serve as the next Clinton County Sheriff following the vacancy in the office. In Indiana, caucuses are commonly used to fill elected office vacancies when an officeholder leaves before the completion of a term.

Officials are encouraging any eligible and interested candidates to complete the required steps before the filing deadline on May 20.
