The Clinton County Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the County Meeting Room at 2 E. Washington St., Suite 105, Frankfort to address a wide range of county business, including infrastructure projects, public safety agreements, and financial matters.
The meeting will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by an opportunity for public comment.
Among the scheduled presentations, Liz Stitzel will provide an update on the county’s Area Plan, while Rick Campbell will present a highway update and discuss the proposed Bridge 53 Agreement.
Under old business, commissioners are expected to consider:
- Envoy Pay Application No. 20 for the courthouse renovation project in the amount of $475,000.
- An interlocal agreement involving Clinton County, CEF, and the City.
- A contract with Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. for the Town of Kirklin Stormwater Project.
New business includes consideration of:
- A Vector Solutions/Frontline Public Safety client agreement for Central Dispatch.
- Issuing a request for proposals (RFP) for county health insurance.
- A proposed County Easement Ordinance.
- Requests to reduce speed limits on 1100 E at 400 S and 400 E at 650 S.
- A request for sign placement.
Commissioners will also hear reports from department heads and members of the board before conducting routine business, including approval of claims and payroll. The board is scheduled to announce its next meeting, set for July 21, before adjournment.
According to the meeting notice, the board may adjust the order of business or consider additional items not listed on the agenda. Meetings are open to the public and are recorded for later viewing on the Clinton County YouTube channel.
