The Hickory Hustle 5K and 10K will return on Saturday, August 1, 2026, bringing runners and walkers together for a morning of community support and remembrance.
The event, hosted by the Perry Township Fire Department, Inc., will begin at 8:30 a.m. at 103 West Main Street in Colfax. A kids run will follow at 9:00 a.m.
This year’s event will honor the memory of Firefighter Joe Buedel, who passed away last summer after battling ALS. Participants are invited to walk or run in support of ALS awareness while remembering a firefighter who dedicated his time to serving others.
The Hickory Hustle offers both 5K and 10K race options, giving participants of different experience levels the opportunity to take part. Families are also encouraged to bring younger runners for the kids race.
