The crashes, crunches, and excitement return to the Clinton County Fairgrounds tonight as the annual Clinton County Fair Demolition Derby gets underway.
Vehicle inspection begins at noon, with the first event scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Drivers from across the region will compete in one of the fair’s most anticipated events, battling it out in a test of skill, strategy, and survival.
Competition will feature five divisions: Street Stock, Full-Size, Full-Size Street Stock, Compacts, and Youth Compacts. Competitors will vie for guaranteed cash payouts, with first-place prizes ranging from $500 in the Youth Compact division to $1,500 in the Full-Size and Compact divisions. Organizers note that payouts are guaranteed with a minimum of five entries in each class.
Known for its roaring engines, flying fenders, and crowd-pleasing action, the demolition derby has become a longtime favorite of fairgoers and routinely draws one of the largest audiences of the Clinton County Fair.
Spectators are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy an evening of high-octane entertainment as the derby takes center stage tonight at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.
