Tax Amnesty 2026 Window Opens

The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR)

Beginning today, July 15, 2026, taxpayers will be able to sign up for Tax Amnesty 2026 and pay their amnesty balance in full or set up an amnesty payment plan.

The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) is partnering with United Collection Bureau (UCB) for this limited-time opportunity for taxpayers to pay past due, eligible taxes and receive a waiver on related penalties, interest, and collection fees. Key elements of Tax Amnesty 2026 include:

  • Timeframe: July 15 through Sept. 9, 2026
  • Eligibility: Tax liabilities for all listed tax types managed by DOR or Motor Carrier Services for tax periods ending prior to Jan. 1, 2024

Participation in Tax Amnesty 2026 requires agreeing to amnesty terms and either paying the base tax in full or setting up a payment plan before Sept. 9, 2026. Amnesty payment plans must be completed according to their terms before June 7, 2027.

Taxpayers with eligible liabilities can call UCB at 888-782-5985 to pay their eligible liabilities in full or set up an amnesty payment plan. They can also use DOR’s online service portal, INTIME, to:

  • Sign up for Tax Amnesty 2026
  • Make amnesty payments
  • Set up an amnesty payment plan

Eligible liabilities must total at least $100 for individuals, or $500 for businesses, to qualify for a payment plan. Once a payment plan has been established, individuals and businesses may check its status on INTIME if they have an account.

Also, if a taxpayer isn’t sure if they have amnesty-eligible liabilities, they can use the eligibility tool on INTIME.
