The Frankfort Hot Dog Festival continues Saturday, July 25, with a full day of entertainment, activities, competitions and live performances throughout downtown Frankfort.
Saturday’s festivities begin early with the COACH Kids Breakfast at the Encompass Event Center and the WeCare Color Bun Run at 8 a.m. The morning schedule continues with the COACH Kids Cornhole Tournament, the opening of the Prairie Creek Park Splash Pad, and a variety of family-friendly activities across downtown.
Visitors can enjoy unique attractions throughout the day, including Dinosaur Takeover Shows, Chainsaw Carving Demonstrations, Glass Blowing, the Dinosaur Museum & Mini Golf, and the DockDogs Big Air competition at Veterans Park.
The festival offers plenty of activities for children, including the Puppy Park Family Fun Zone, Prancing Ponies & Petting Zoo, the Jurassic Park Motor Pool Experience, magic shows, BMX Ramp Shows, craft activities, and the Doxie Derby Dachshund Races.
Food lovers can participate in the “Let’s Sizzle & Roll” Hot Dog Trail, beginning at 11 a.m., while competitors and spectators can enjoy the Hot Dog Eating Contest at 5 p.m. on the Indiana Kitchen Stage.
Saturday’s entertainment lineup also features live performances throughout the afternoon and evening. Highlights include:
- Frankfort High School Band at 12:15 p.m. on the Indiana Kitchen Stage
- Frank Harness Karate at 3:15 p.m.
- Damon West at 6 p.m. on The Farmers Bank Performance Center Stage
- Sheltered Reality at 6:15 p.m. on the Indiana Kitchen Stage
- Austin French at 7:15 p.m. on The Farmers Bank Performance Center Stage
- Maybsomeday – Montana Best at 7:30 p.m. on the Indiana Kitchen Stage
- Colton Dixon at 8:30 p.m. on The Farmers Bank Performance Center Stage
- Big Rosco & The Hammers at 9 p.m. on the Indiana Kitchen Stage
Additional evening attractions include the DockDogs Big Air Finals, Bowser Bash Car & Truck Show Awards, WCWO Wrestling, and a fireworks finale to close out the festival.
Saturday will also feature festival favorites including the Bowser Bash Car & Truck Show, wrestling events, family entertainment, and activities for all ages from morning until night.
Festival organizers invite residents and visitors to bring their families, grab a lawn chair, explore downtown Frankfort and enjoy one of the community’s biggest summer celebrations.
