Scott Watkins Wins Frankfort Hot Dog Festival Eating Contest After Consuming 48 Hot Dogs in 10 Minutes

The Frankfort Hot Dog Festival’s annual Hot Dog Eating Contest brought plenty of excitement as competitors battled to see who could eat the most hot dogs in the allotted time.

This year’s winner was Scott Watkins, who claimed the title after eating an incredible 48 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

Watkins’ winning performance averaged one hot dog every 12.5 seconds for the entire contest.

“Frankfort, you were incredible,” Watkins said following the event. “What an awesome event, an amazing crowd, and some of the nicest people I’ve met.”

Watkins joked with the crowd afterward, asking if Frankfort had a secret competitive eater waiting to challenge him next year.

The contest was sponsored by NHK Seating of America, with IGA Shultz providing the hot dogs and buns for the competition.

Festival organizers thanked all participants, sponsors, and attendees who helped make the Hot Dog Eating Contest another successful part of the Frankfort Hot Dog Festival.
