It seems that everyone has a smart phone in their hands, 3-year-old and 90-year-old, the phone has become the latest must. But with that access comes potential problems. Join us as Detective Jon Griener, from the Sheriff’s Office talks to both parents and students about some of the pitfalls of that easy access. Learn how to protect yourself and your children from not only on-line predators but also web sites that pose risks to their minds and emotional well-being.
An internet safety meeting will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 900 S Maish Rd on Saturday, August 8th from 10-11:30am. This workshop will be given in both English and Spanish. Light refreshments will be available.
All are welcome, but it is generally meant for school age children and their parents or guardians. If you have children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews that have a phone, this meeting is a can’t miss. The more you know, the better you can protect those you love.

La reunión sobre Seguridad en el Internet se llevará a cabo en Grace Baptist Church, ubicada en 900 S. Maish Rd., el sábado 8 de Agosto, de 10:00 a.m. a 11:30 a.m.
Este taller será presentado tanto en inglés como en español. Se ofrecerán refrigerios ligeros.
Todos son bienvenidos, aunque el taller está especialmente dirigido a niños en edad escolar y a sus padres o tutores. Si tiene hijos, nietos, sobrinos o familiares con un teléfono o acceso al internet, esta es una reunión que no querrá perderse.
