The Lebanon Police Department is investigating a residential shooting that occurred Thursday, August 6, in the 2400 block of Point Road.
At approximately 11:25 p.m., officers with the Lebanon Police Department and deputies with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area following a report of a shooting inside a residence. The 911 caller reported that an individual had been shot inside the home.
Upon arrival, officers and deputies located a 16-year-old male inside the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers secured the scene and began providing emergency medical care until personnel from the Lebanon Fire Department and Boone County EMS arrived and took over treatment.
As officers continued their investigation, they located a second gunshot victim inside the residence. The second victim was identified as Jacob Eaton, 20, of Lebanon.
Both victims were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police, Jacob Large, 19, of Elwood, was brought to the Lebanon Police Department for questioning in connection with the shooting. Police later identified Large as the alleged shooter inside the residence.
Following the initial investigation, officers applied for a search warrant for the residence. After the search was completed, Eaton was taken into custody and transported to the Boone County Jail on preliminary charges.
The charges listed include:
- Dealing Schedule I, II, or III Substance — Level 3 felony
- Dealing Marijuana/Hashish/Salvia — Level 6 felony
- Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug — Level 6 felony
- Possession of Schedule I — Class A misdemeanor
- Possession of Paraphernalia — Class A misdemeanor
The investigation remains ongoing, and the Lebanon Police Department said additional information will be released as it becomes available.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
