Severe Thunderstorm Watch Extended for Clinton County and Central Indiana Until 7 P.M.

CENTRAL INDIANA — The Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been extended and is now in effect until 7 p.m. EDT today for Clinton County and much of central Indiana.

The watch means conditions remain favorable for severe thunderstorms to develop through the evening.

Earlier storms across the area have produced strong winds, large hail and heavy rainfall, and additional storms could develop or move through the region this afternoon and evening.

Residents should remain weather-aware, keep phones and weather alerts nearby, and be prepared to move indoors if a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is issued for their location.

If storms approach, seek shelter in an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 7 p.m. EDT.
