A Frankfort-area church, a local catering business and a community group are joining forces this weekend to support a young Colfax boy who is fighting for his life at Riley Children’s Hospital following a golf cart accident.
Lennon, who was involved in the accident in Colfax, is currently being treated at the Indianapolis hospital. Organizers say 100% of proceeds raised through the upcoming fundraiser will go directly to Lennon’s family to help cover medical and related costs during his recovery.
Bake Sale and Meal Fundraiser Set for Sunday
The fundraiser, hosted by C&R Catering, The F.U.N. Group and Connecting Point Church, will take place Sunday, Aug. 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Connecting Point Church, 400 S. 3rd Street.
In addition to a bake sale featuring donated baked goods, organizers will be selling a $12 meal that includes chicken-n-noodles, mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll with butter.
